Our Weekly Newsletter

We've been working on the downtown flower baskets. Our small band of dedicated staff and volunteers planted and assembled the baskets (even in the dark!) The next step was to put the linings and flowers in the hay racks. We are done with the 900, 800, 700 blocks and the 600 block to Carpenter Avenue. We will finish up by the end of the week. Then we'll let the sunshine and rain (with some help from our water cart) do the rest!
This year, circumstances required us to reinvent the way we do the flower baskets. To make it work, we definitely had to rely more volunteer power and support from the communty. Thank you to everyone who helped by sponsoring a basket or lending a hand. We couldn't have done it without you!
